• 30 Registered Teams/or 150 individual anglers (18 of these anglers are professional guides)
• 1st Place overall was Team Island Party Rentals 2 (Jason Franklin, Greg Dublin & Jason Arman)
• 2nd Place overall was Team Underground Construction Management (Tommy Thompson, Wade Wilkins & Monte Goodman)
• Top Tarpon – Team Tequesta Insurance/Geoff Mayfield with a 79inch Tarpon
• Top Snook – Team Hodas Law/Matt Smith with a 35inch Snook
• Top Redfish – Team Charlie’s Bar & Grill/Richard Rice with a 30 inch Redfish
• Top Trout – Team Skygirl/Liam Zaccheo with a 28inch Trout
• Top Fly – Team Jones, Foster, Johnston & Stubbs, PA/Matt Badgley with a 26inch Snook
• Top Lady Angler – Team Zaccheo/ Meredith Burton with 28, 25 & 18inch Snooks.

Benefiting the Boys & Girls Clubs of Martin County

The Michael Shields Memorial Inshore Open caters to all members of the community, regardless of age or skill level. It was designed to increase awareness of The Boys and Girls Clubs of Martin County within the community, to provide much needed funding and support for their outstanding services, and to get the whole community excited about fishing!

We will kick off the event with a Captain’s Reception at River Palm Cottages and Fish Camp at 7:00 p.m., on Friday, September 23, 2011. The tournament will begin immediately thereafter. Teams of 4 Anglers or less will target Snook, Tarpon, Redfish and Trout. Anglers and their families are invited to attend the awards ceremony and family bbq on Saturday, which will also be held at River Palm Cottages and Fish Camp. The family bbq will begin at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 24. Both Angler Registration and Non-Angler tickets for both parties may be reserved with the forms provided above.
